The New Mercedes-AMG CLE 53 Cabriolet

The new AMG CLE 53 Cabriolet will be arriving at U.S. dealerships in the second half of 2024 and will join the AMG SL Roadster as the second open-top performance model from Mercedes-AMG. Featuring a spacious interior and generous standard equipment, including an acoustic soft top, AIRCAP®, AIRSCARF®, and an electric cargo divider system, its technical specifications are just as impressive.  

Its AMG-enhanced inline six-cylinder engine with exhaust gas turbocharger, electric auxiliary compressor, and 48-volt mild hybrid system engine produces 443 hp and 413 lb-ft of torque. Power is delivered via an AMG SPEEDSHIFT® TCT 9G transmission and AMG Performance 4MATIC+ fully variable all-wheel drive allowing the car to reach a top speed of 155mph.

AEG performance is brought into the open air with this new elegantly shaped car which features wide, flared front and rear wheel arches. From its A-shaped AMG radiator grille and sharp slender lines to its LED headlights which contribute to the powerful appearance, the car boasts a raised A-shape (“A-Wing”) middle section for increased airflow. Adding to the aggressive appearance is its standard 19-inch wheels (Optional 20-inch wheels can also be fitted) and its wide track stance (+2.3 inches at the front, +3 inches at the rear) compared to the Mercedes-Benz model. Its rear design also shows some aggression with tail lights with three-dimensional light bodies and a dark red design element connecting the taillamps. To add a bit more pop to the already stunning car, purchasers can opt for the optional AMG Performance Studio Package for more dynamic design elements.

Its interior is just as striking as its exterior with exclusive equipment and AMG-specific displays. From the 12.3-inch digital driver display (with the ability to choose between “Classic,” “Sport” and “Supersport” display styles and the AMG-exclusive “Supersport” style) and driver-oriented 11.9-inch central multimedia display in portrait format to the 64-color dynamic ambient lighting, drivers are fully immersed in a unique experience. Featuring integral sports seats covered in Black MB-Tex/microfiber upholstery with AMG-specific graphics and red contrast stitching (optional leather choices are available as well), the seats include vertical openings integrated into the seat backrests to provide further visual accents and improved ventilation.

This car is just as special under the hood as the new AMG CLE 53 and is powered by a comprehensively upgraded, AMG-enhanced M256M 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder turbocharged engine. From its new exhaust gas turbocharger to its improved electric auxiliary compressor, customers benefit from the engine’s increased efficiency. IT AMG SPEEDSHIFT® TCT 9G transmission features short shift times, quick response, double-declutch function, and multiple downshifts, while the AMG high-performance brake system, is designed to match the power and performance of the AMG CLE 53. Other unique features include: AMG DYNAMIC SELECT drive programs with integrated AMG DYNAMICS, AMG Performance 4MATIC+ fully variable all-wheel drive, AMG RIDE CONTROL suspension, and three-stage AMG parameter steering and rear axle steering
