This week on Scam of the Week, we dive into one of the wildest political reshuffles in years as the Liberal Parties in New South Wales and Victoria pull out the Long Knives. Two leaders dumped in a week, new faces installed, and the unmistakable whiff of panic as the party hemorrhages votes to One Nation.

Then we follow the money. Nine Entertainment splashes “Blood Oil” across its front pages, claiming super funds are tied up in Putin’s oil trade. But once you actually read the fine print, the story dissolves into a convenient distraction from the real scandal: Australian super funds exposed for investments linked to war crimes in Gaza.
Next, we head back to Canberra where the good old NACC outdoes itself again. Another week, another list of undisclosed conflicts of interest from chairman Paul Brereton. Ten more. It is now beyond parody. The watchdog built to fight corruption keeps tripping over its own.
And finally, our winner for Scam of the Week. No surprises. It is the NACC. A limping, mangy little watch poodle that has somehow managed to avoid investigating corruption while being knee deep in it itself. A masterclass in institutional failure.
