Deputy PM and Minister for Defence Richard Marles is on the speakers’ list to address the controversial Combat Antisemitism Movement (CAM) Summit today. What’s the scam?
The scam is the CAM summit organisers are seeking to introduce at local government level in Australia the IHRA definition of antisemitism which pushes the notion that criticism of the government of Benjamin Netanyahu in Israel is antisemitic.
Also addressing the all-expenses-paid gathering local mayors and councillors are Special Envoy Jillian Segal and businessman David Gonski (who has just stood down as Chancellor of the University of NSW).
The location of the event and the attendees have not been made public.
