In February 2024, the Mental Health Foundation will introduce the Mental Health Foundation Image Library, a collection of images depicting individuals tending to their mental well-being. I contributed photographs of mental health nature walks, a vital part of my PhD research exploring the effects of meditation walks on anxiety reduction and relaxation. Using a Canon EOS Rebel camera and the Adobe suite for edits, these images are set to become part of the library.
The upcoming library is expected to be a useful resource, providing a variety of images genuinely depicting people involved in activities that positively contribute to their mental health. My choice to contribute images of nature walks emphasizes the increasing acknowledgment of the therapeutic impact of natural environments on mental well-being.
